Robyn Lees
Ceramic Artist
Denmark WA
Since graduating with a Visual Arts Degree from Edith Cowan University Robyn Lees has been working as an artist and has developed an extensive solo and group exhibition profile.
Her work is represented in eminent collections and publications.
She has worked as a ceramic lecturer, art teacher, and workshop presenter.
Robyn's work explores the female stereotype through the use of the ‘Painted Lady', with all the connotations of mask, vamp and party girl. “My ladies contemplate the woman's function and attempt to reference her emotional strength, spiritual aspirations and personal vulnerabilities”.
Since moving to the Great Southern with its diverse and magnificent natural landscape her work has developed. The feminine/environmental dynamic has become the focus of her stories.
